We teach guitar, bass, keys, drums, vocals, songwriting, Beatmaking/Music Prod/DJ & Sampling and Rock Band Ensembles in the heart of Allston, Rock City, and in our Studio and Recording Space in Reading, MA.

Where do the bands play?
Acoustic Nights are held in The Corner Art Room, Summer shows are typically held outdoors on the Brighton Common Stage, and we play in local venues.
How do I join a band?
If you are taking lessons with us, we will guide your decision of when to start and help you find the right band for you. If you are already a proficient player, or have some musical background (Rock or otherwise), visit us for a trial lesson and band rehearsal. We'll take it from there.

Douglas Appleman
Piano Hailing from Cambridge, MA, Douglas has over five years of experience as a voice and instrument instructor, teaching whatever rock instrument he could get his hands on! Outside of Beantown, he currently attends Berklee Online in pursuit of a Music Business Degree, and is an active musician in the Boston music scene, playing live piano with various bands and releasing songs under his solo project, fittingly named: "Douglas Appleman"!

Dan DeLucia
Guitar, Piano With a performance from LIU Post degree in 2017, Dan's formal training includes a master’s degree in music therapy from Molloy College in 2022. While at LIU Post, Daniel studied both guitar and piano with a concentration in both classical and jazz studies. Since graduating, Daniel has had experience playing as a background pianist for cocktail hours and private parties. He also has played in several rock bands as a bass guitar player, and has taught individual lessons on piano and guitar as well. In addition to teaching music, Daniel is currently a music therapist in the greater Boston area, primarily working with school based groups, medically fragile children, and premature infants in the NICU. Daniel also occasionally performs at open mics within a variety of venues around the Boston area.

Justin Hancock
Guitar A professional guitarist and songwriter who has been teaching music and directing bands for 15+ years. He played saxophone for many years before officially making the switch to guitar in his teens. He was passionate about music from an early age, largely due to his parents’ record collection. He we raised on artists such as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Harry Nilsson, Simon & Garfunkel, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Pink Floyd, Talking Heads, and so on. Justin was also very influenced by the music that came out during his youth in the '90s and began writing songs and performing in bands at the age of 13. After high school, he attended Berklee College of Music and graduated in 2009 with a degree in Professional Music. Justin has performed with numerous artists all over the U.S. and other parts of the world, including Egypt and Costa Rica. Since 2010, the majority of his touring, songwriting, and recording has been with the award-winning rock band, Hayley Jane and the Primates. They have toured the country multiple times, been featured in several national publications, and have performed at some of the most well-known venues and high-profile music festivals in the Northeast. They’ve shared lineups and bills with notable artists such as Trey Anastasio and Mike Gordon (Phish), Wilco, Phil Lesh and Bill Kreutzmann (Grateful Dead), My Morning Jacket, Weezer, Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts (Allman Brothers), Umphrey's McGee, Warren Haynes, Ben Harper, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Blues Traveler, Sharon Jones, moe, Dweezil Zappa, Chris Robinson (The Black Crowes), G. Love & Special Sauce, The Wailers, Rusted Root, Spin Doctors, The Avett Brothers, George Porter Jr. (The Meters), Dopapod, Goose, Ozomatli, etc.

Christopher Narainen
Drums A seasoned music educator and performer with over 18 years of experience in the industry. As a dedicated drum instructor, band director, and camp director, Chris has inspired countless students, sharing his passion for music across various genres. His versatile background includes playing in multiple local bands, DJing at events, including weddings, producing his own music (Flyrro), and working as a session musician. He has performed extensively in genres spanning rock, metal, jazz, reggae, fusion, jam, R&B, soul, and funk, among others. Chris is an active drummer with three bands: Vinal, a dynamic jam band; Burning Wind, a metal/progressive punk outfit; and Flyrro, a collaborative dub/reggae/pop project featuring musician friends. With a strong foundation in finance, Chris holds a couple of undergraduate degrees in Management and Finance from The University of Mauritius and UMass Boston and a Master’s in Music Business from Berklee College of Music, blending his musical and financial expertise to support his community and the wider music industry.
